Once in a village called Chikodi ( prsently talook at Belgaum Dist)there was a brahmin named Annambhatta who was was always quareling with his wife Anandibai . Once he quarrelled much and was in a deep angree, he left the home wanered here and there after all he came to Shri Chidambar Mahaswamiji and lived there only . After some days his wife understood where abouts of her husband. She came to the place where her husband live. Here also once again Annambhatta and his wife quareled. The complaint has gone to Shri Chidambar Mahaswamiji.
Shri Chidambar Mahaswamiji called both of them and told some good words and asked them to go back to Chikodi and live with happy. The brahmin has not agreed for the solution and with anger he blamed Shri Chidambar Mahaswamiji as a female favoring justice, its a favourism. after not listening towords the words of Shri Chidambar Mahaswamiji he left the place .
As the news of the same spread over the village, every body denounced him. At night he has got a slice or blister on his thigh, which was so painful that its very much difficult to tolerate .The brahmin has started crying . When the pain is so unbearable at last he was thinking to go to Shri Chidambar Mahaswamiji and seek excuse. Accordingly Annambhatta returned to Shri Chidambar Mahaswamiji and prostrated in front of Shri Chidambar Mahaswamiji .
Shri Chidambar Mahaswamiji told that I am doing favourism why you have came here . The brahmin said sorry with crying and requested to excuse all the time. The brahmin requested Shri Chidambar Mahaswamiji many times for excuse and at last Shri Chidambar Mahaswamiji told him that if the pain and the blister is removed can you take your wife and live a good life with her ? The brahmin said yes. Then Shri Chidambar Mahaswamiji asked him to open the cloth on the wound ans show, soon after opening the cloth on the wound nothing was there even the sign of any blister also not seen . Then Shri Chidambar Mahaswamiji told him to go to Chikodi along with his wife and be happy without quarel with her also told to chant the name of god and live happily.
Since then the family used to live at Chikodi with a happy married life with chanting the name if Shri Chidambar Maghaswamiji. Also they use to come to Murugod for the festival every year.
